As we transition into online learning, our class will be utilizing Seesaw as our learning platform.  You should have received your child's personal login code via email this week.  If you would like me to resend it, please let me know!

PLEASE make sure that you child has logged in prior to 4/14/20 so that there is time to troubleshoot if necessary.

Here is a video tutorial for logging into the Seesaw website:

During this time, we will be using Flipgrid to communicate as a class. Flipgrid is a program that students can use to record themselves responding to discussion topic questions. For example, Ms. English might ask the question, "what are your connections to the story __". Then the students will record themselves responding to the question. Flipgrid is an excellent way to develop oral language skills.

Our ESOL teacher, Mrs. Strange, will also help me administer our Flipgrid page and upload discussion topics. You can access Flipgrid by downloading the app from your cell phone or tablet. You can also access Flipgrid on a laptop or desktop computer as well.

Once you have downloaded the app or go to the website on a laptop,
you need to use your child's school e-mail address and password (if you do not know your student's credentials please e-mail me).You also need to input the class code to enter our classroom Flipgrid page.
Our grid code is english1269.

This week we need to focus on taking care of ourselves and our families.
I will be posting updates with pictures, resources, and ideas in the coming days.
Please feel free to email me or send me messages on Twitter.  I miss you terribly and would love to see you!
I am so thankful to be working with the most phenomenal group of students and families.  Even when we are not together in person, we are a family.  #o_braves
