Love, Ms. Apgar

During this time, we will be using Flipgrid. Flipgrid is a program that students can use to record themselves responding to discussion topic questions. For example, Ms. Apgar is asking the question, "what are your connections to the story __". Then the students will record themselves responding to the question. Flipgrid is an excellent way to develop oral language skills.

Our ESOL teacher, Mrs. Strange, will also help me administer our Flipgrid page and upload discussion topics. You can access Flipgrid by downloading the app from your cell phone or tablet. You can also access Flipgrid on a laptop or desktop computer as well.

Once you have downloaded the app or go to the website on a laptop,
you need to use your child's school e-mail address and password (if you do not know your student's credentials please e-mail me).You also need to input the class code to enter our classroom Flipgrid page. Our grid code is apgar0859.

Dear Kindergarten Families,

As we are developing a plan for continuity of learning, students should read books and materials that are of interest to them and engage in projects that spark their passions. They can, of course, access the online tools we have been using this school year such as iReady, Bookflix, and Brainpopjr (all accessible through the clever portal).

I will send specific plans and directions for moving forward academically as soon as I am advised through administration. As a reminder, homework is available on the Kindergarten homepage. Please continue to send me pictures and videos of your child via text or email. I love to see what you are working on! To all of my students, I miss you and cannot wait to see you again.

Ms. Apgar
